ELEC 404 (1.5|3-1.5) MICROWAVES AND FIBER OPTICSTransmission line theory, Smith chart and design examples, transmission lines and waveguides, network analysis, design of impedance matching and tuning networks, aspects of coupled lines, radiation and amplification, optical fibers, numerical aperture, single mode and multimode fibers, chromatic dispersion, fiber optic components. ELEC 450 (1.5|3-1.5) COMMUNICATIONS THEORY AND SYSTEMS: IITransmission and filtering of random signals, analysis of modulation systems, in particular pulse code modulation, phase shift keying, frequency shift keying, etc., design of modems and of CODECs, introduction to noise analysis, information theory and coding. ENGR 297 (1.5|3-0) TECHNOLOGY AND SOCIETYThis course introduces the student to the effects of technology on society. The ethical, environmental, cultural, social, economic and political issues raised by technological change will be emphasized. The concepts of sustainable development and environmental stewardship will be discussed. ELEC 395 (1|2-0) SEMINARThe main purpose of this course is to provide students with an opportunity to exercise their ability to present and to defend their thoughts on professional topics of their own choice. Students will be encouraged to devote some of their discussions to such topics as continuing professional education, professional societies and organization of engineering employment. Students will also be made aware of the role and responsibilities of Professional Engineers in society with respect to the environment, ethics, equity, public and worker safety and health considerations. ELEC 403 (1.5|3-1.5) ENGINEERING DESIGN BY OPTIMIZATIONThe steepest descent and Newton methods for unconstrained optimization. Golden section, quadratic, cubic and inexact line searches. Conjugate and quasi-Newton methods. The Fletcher-Reeves algorithm. Application to the design of circuits, control systems, filters, and mechanical systems using optimization techniques. Introduction to constrained optimization. The course includes laboratory sessions to program various optimization algorithms and to apply them to several modeling and engineering design problems. ELEC 499 (1.5|0-6) DESIGN PROJECTA significant technical design project in Electrical Engineering completed under the supervision of a faculty member. This design experience is based on the knowledge and skills acquired in earlier course work. Projects may originate from faculty members, students, or external sources. They may have a diverse nature and serve diverse needs. Multi-disciplinary projects are encouraged. ENGR 446 (1) TECHNICAL REPORTA major technical report demonstrating written communication and analytical skills. The report topic must be approved by the Engineering and Computer Science/Math Co-op Program Manager at least two months prior to submission. Work Term Report Guidelines in effect at the time of registration govern report style and format. Students must register in this course in the term preceding the final term of their program (academic or work term) and the report must be submitted to the Engineering and Computer Science/Math Co-op Office by the first Friday in the final term of the student’s program. December 01 下雪啦恩 星期日下的
现在? 好象是星期五
旁边工地停工N天
看着厚厚积雪的空地
仿佛回到10多年前初中的校园
那是节体育课 上午第三节的体育课 前一晚下了整整一夜大雪的体育课
250米一圈的操场上 只有白色 我冲在最前面 踩下破坏完美的第一个鞋印
不记得雪有多深 只记得打雪仗时摔到 躺在地上很舒服 不想起来
不记得天有多冷 只记得雪地足球之后 回到教室爬桌上 偷睡一节
慢慢的雪变了 慢慢的风大了 慢慢的天冷了
这种感觉很陌生 突然发现
原来化雪的时候天会很冷
原来顶风的时候我也发抖
原来天冷的时候我只想睡
吃的太撑了 不说点废话会消化不良
看过的人不许评论 因为写的时候肚子里没有墨水 只有下水
谁评论我鄙视谁 |
